The Komen Atlanta Race for the Cure®- 5k (3 miles) or 1 mile
Hello Family & Friends,
As many of you are aware, one of my first priorities in life is my family. As would many of us, I would do anything within my power to help them.
Several years ago, both my Aunt & Grandmother (pictured right) were diagnosed with breast cancer. Both have had partial mascetomy's and proud to be breast cancer survivors.
This disease has touched so many lives and the statistics continue to grow. It is time that we all come together to find a cure.
For many it is hard to contribute financially, for others it is hard to contribute physically... I am asking you to look within yourself to see which category you believe you CAN contribute. If you can donate financially, great, please make a donation towards my goal. If you can't then please bring your energy and join me on Saturday, May 9th to walk for those that are unable. It is time to celebrate life and help find a cure.
The latest statistics say... One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.
In the Dodd Family, two out of three have been diagnosed.

What does Komen do? For more than 25 years, Komen for the Cure has played a critical role in every major advance in the fight against breast cancer – transforming how the world talks about and treats this disease, and helping to turn millions of breast cancer patients into breast cancer survivors. Over the next 25 years, an estimated 25 million women around the world will be diagnosed with breast cancer if we don't find a cure. Komen will not stop until we discover and deliver the cures. That’s our promise.
