The Komen Atlanta Race for the Cure is a celebration of survivors and an opportunity to remember those we have lost to this terrible disease. As a survivor, we hope that you'll be reminded how many friends are running beside you every step of the way in this Race for the Cure.
Survivor Activities:
Survivor T-Shirts: Survivors may pick up their pink t-shirts in the Survivor booth in the Expo area following the Race. Be sure to check the Survivor box on your Race entry form to get your complimentary pink t-shirt!
Survivor Tent at Expo: Our Survivor Tent at Expo seeks to honor our outstanding Survivors. Located on the far end of the Expo area, the tent will feature special activities to thank, provide fellowship for, relax, pamper and surprise our survivors. Watch for special pink hats, gift bags, mini spa services and so much more. The Survivor Tent in Expo will open following the 1 Mile Walk and will conclude at the beginning of the Survivor Ceremony.
Survivor Celebration and Awards Ceremony: One of the most inspirational moments of Race Day is the Survivor Celebration and Awards ceremony. Please gather at the stage at 9:15 to prepare for the touching ceremony.
Survivor Pink Hats: Breast cancer Survivors who wish to be recognized may pick up complimentary pink hats at the Survivor Area on Race Day.
"In Celebration Of" & "In Memory Of" Back Signs: We invite all Race participants to recognize those special people in their lives who have been touched by breast cancer. "In Memory Of" and "In Celebration Of" back signs will be mailed in all Race packets prior to the Race. For those who may not receive their Race packet prior to Race Day, additional back signs will be available at the Survivor Tent and designated pick up areas on Race Day. Take this opportunity to celebrate and honor those we love who have faced the challenges of breast cancer.
