The 2013 Komen Atlanta Race for the Cure will be held on Mother's Day weekend, Saturday, May 11. Please see below to find further information regarding Race Day details.

Online registration opens

April 20

If registering by mail, send all signed registration forms and fees together - postmarked by April 20th. This is also the deadline to receive race numbers by mail. Numbers will be mailed to individual participants.

May 8   (5 p.m.)
Deadline to register online. Participants registered after April 20th will pick up their race numbers on Race day.

May 11

RACE DAY! Enjoy all your hard work and have fun! And help us celebrate breast cancer survivors.

May 31
Deadline for pledge money to be received. Donations must include the participant's name.

Background:

The Susan G. Komen Atlanta Race for the Cure®, celebrated every spring on Mother's Day Weekend, serves as the premiere fundraiser for the Greater Atlanta Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Started in 1991 with just a few hundred participants, the Race has grown steadily to more than 17,000!
The Komen Race for the Cure® Series is the world's largest and most successful education and fundraising event for breast cancer. Since its origination in Dallas in 1983, the series has grown from one local race with 800 participants to an international series of 114 races with more than 1.3 million participants.

*Kids for the Cure is limited to the first 750 registered.
Sleep for the Cure Registration is $40.
Paper Applications should be postmarked by 20th.
Online registration will close on Tuesday, May 8 at 5pm.

Location and Course:

The 23rd Annual Komen Atlanta Race for the Cure will be held on May 11th.  Start your day with a run along our race course, enjoy refreshements and giveaways in the Expo area and finish the day shopping

2013 Directions and Parking:

MARTA
Runners are encouraged to carpool or take MARTA. Take MARTA to the Arts Center Station, which is 1/2 mile from the Race site.  Transfer free to MARTA's bus route 113 or take the free Arts Center Shuttle. MARTA is $2.50 per trip, with a one-time $1.00 fee for a Breeze ticket. Round trip is $5.00.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
From I-85 Southbound - Exit 17th Street. Turn right on 17th Street. Turn right just past the Wells Fargo building and the parking deck will be on your right.
From I-75 Southbound - Exit 16th Street. Turn right on 16th Street. The entrance to the parking deck is on the right, just past the town homes. OR Exit Northside Drive. Turn right on Northside Drive to 17th Street and turn left. At Village Street, follow the signs to race parking on 16th Street or State Street.
From I-75/85 Northbound - Exit 14th Street. Turn left on 14th Street and proceed West about six blocks to Atlantic Drive. Turn right on Atlantic Drive and proceed to 16th Street. Turn right on 16th Street and make an immediate left into the Atlantic Station parking deck.

Atlantic Station has a NEW PARKING APP.  Download this app to your mobile device before May 11th and use it when you park at Race for the Cure.

PARKING
Parking is available at Atlantic Station. Arrive early. Access to parking will be limited after 8 a.m.
